Acoustical investigation of Ag/Pt bimetallic nanofluids Navneet Yadav*, Alok Kumar Verma and R. R. Yadav Physics Department, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-211002, India *E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org ABSTRACT Nanometals have various applications in the field of science and technology due to their unique properties and outstanding applications. At nano level these properties of metal enhance as compare to its bulk material. In present work, we have synthesized Ag/Pt bimetallic nanoparticles by using microwave irradiation method and characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy for the absorption study. Formation of bimetallic Ag/Pt nanoparticles is confirmed by XRD and structure of bimetallic is found to be F.C.C. For the morphological study, Scanning Electron Microscopy has been done. A comparative study of Transmission Electron Microscopy has been made by Acoustic Particles Sizer which uses ultrasonic technique and gives particles size distribution of nanoparticles in liquid medium and it was found that both are in good correlation Keywords: Nanofluid, Attenuation, Acoustical Particle Sizer.
