The location for the experimental Owned Residence Housing in Indonesia (RUSUNAMI) is adjacent with highway and railway, potential for excessive noise exposure above the noise level standard. By conduct-ing a noise mapping and subjective survey, this study aims to investigate the acoustics environment of the site and its effect to the people of its surrounding by subjective measures. In-situ measurement was carried out in nine positions by using calibrated recorder and sound level meter then processed in the Geographic Infor-mation System (GIS) software. Furthermore, to investigate the perception of the people living nearby loca-tionm the subjective questionnaire was conducted. The result is to provide a suggestion toward the design guideline to create a satisfactory Noise Criteria (NC) that meets the standard, particularly for RUSUNAMI and stories building in Indonesia.
