Natural fibers are directly obtained from an animal, mineral, or vegetable sources. Recently natural fibers are getting more attention from researchers and academician to utilize in polymer composite panels instead of other fiber composites due to its eco-friendliness towards nature. In this paper, vibration, absorption coefficient and sound transmission loss characteristics of coconut coir and bamboo fiber reinforced with epoxy ,were characterized and compared with the glass fiber composite. Free vibration characteristics of the Natural fiber based composite panels were investigated by Experimental and numerical methods under all side clamped boundary condition, acoustical characteristics of Sound absorption coefficient and sound transmission loss performances were evaluated by using an impedance tube set-up (3-mic and 4-mic method).
