Liquid, as we know, is a vital for living activities and it is an important entity of living things, which is present and plays an important role in almost all activities of livings and the material sciences. Therefore liquid and its mixtures are needed to be characterize. There are many types of methods to have the material characterization. But the Ultrasonic method is the preferred technique as it is having its simplicity and application, which provides simple way of analysis of properties of liquid and its mixtures. Here the two binary liquid systems of acetophenone with pyridine and acetophenone with acetone are studied to investigate the different thermo-acoustical parameters at different temperatures. The density, ultrasonic velocity and coefficient of viscosity were measured for these binary mixtures with variation in concentration and it shows increasing trend with the increase in concentration of acetophenone in the binary systems of pyridine and also acetone. The compressibility, free volume and free length of both the binary mixtures are found to be decreasing with the corresponding increase in concentration of the acetophenone in their respective binary mixtures. The excess values of the above parameters such as, excess velocity υE, excess adiabatic compressibility βαE, excess free length LfE, excess free volume VfE and excess internal pressure πiE are also evaluated and the results are plotted. The data confirms the existence of interaction in the binary mixtures.
