The ultrasonic techniques are unique and find wide range of applications to evaluate the physio-chemical properties of mixtures/solutions. Ultrasonic investigation of PPG with Butanol was carried out at fixed frequency 2MHz, over the entire composition at temperature 293.15K, 303.15K and 313.15K. Ultrasonic velocity, Density, Viscosity, Refractive index of binary mixtures have been experimentally measured to compute various thermodynamical parameter like adiabatic compressibility (βα), ntermolecular free length (Lf),free volume(Vf), excess adiabatic compressibility(βαE), excess intermolecular free length (LfE) and excess free volume(VfE),The variation in thermodynamic parameter with composition and temperature have been discussed on the basis of intermolecular interaction. FTIR spectra were also recorded to support the thermoacoustical results.
