Mixing of Polyethylene glycol methyl ether methacrylate 475 with 2-methoxyethanol and 2-ethoxyethanol can expand the properties of molecular interactions between the molecules of solvents. Precise measurements of ultrasonic velocities (u), densities (ρ) and refractive index (n) over the whole composition range have been performed at varying temperatures (293.15, 303.15 and 313.15 K). From these experimental data, the deviation in ultrasonic velocity (Δu) and deviation in isentropic compressibility (Δks), excess intermolecular free length (LfE), molar refraction deviation (ΔRm) and excess Gibbs free energy of activation for viscous flow (ΔG*E) were calculated. The Redlich−Kister polynomial equation was applied to compute and correlate the results. Mixing rules of refractive index have also been applied and results were discussed in terms of average percentage deviation also discussed average absolute deviation for densities (ρ), ultrasonic velocities (u) and refractive index (n) were also reported. The molecular scale interactions have also been investigated through FTIR, UV-Visible, 1H NMR spectroscopy to support thermoacoustical study.
