Recently Gallbladder stone disease becomes a serious health problem for human beings and affecting millions of people throughout the India. Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) has been developed as a valuable technique for the study of biological, chemical and geological materials etc. It can be applied irrespective of the physical state of materials. PA spectra of a sample are very similar to the absorption spectra obtained by other conventional spectroscopic methods. The main advantage of PAS is that it can be applied to the solid without any sample preparation and it is also a non-destructive technique. Molecular analysis of gallbladder stone has been investigated using PAS and the result are compared with the result of UV-visible absorption spectra of gallstone dissolved in acetone. The result of the presents work shows that the PAS is better than other spectroscopic techniques.
