The Design of Hybrid mounting Systems for Large Size Engines and Buildings focusing the response studies in Vibro-Acoustic band up to 10 kHz S. N. Bagchi 1 and Mahavir Singh 2 1Design Section, Vibration Engineering Deptt., Resistoflex Group of Industries, Noida, India 2Acoustics & Vibration Metrology, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, India Abstract This is an Industry-Academia oriented work describing the design, selection and optimization aspects of any effective broadband isolation system for mechanical vibration along with the acoustic vibration & noise up to 10 kHz in 1/3 octave band. In the introduction, an overview of the dynamic universe extended to planets and Galaxies will be presented. The four fundamental forces of nature and the related vibration spectrum will be explained. The Acoustic-Gravity Waves and Seismic wave propagation will be detailed. The human interactive hybrid designs for a comfortable long journey with Air Spring Suspension Systems will be highlighted. The design aspects of anechoic chambers and engine test beds will also be covered in this paper. The validation of calculated efficiency results are compared with the actual measruments after installation. The results were found to be well within the fuzzy domain of +/ - 5 % of the calculated value.
